Drinking Ozonated Glycerin Protocol

How much ozonated glycerin to stir into a drink, how to build up over the first weeks, and what to watch for.

Quick answer: Ozonated glycerin is stirred into water, or cooled tea or coffee, and taken daily. Start at 1/2 teaspoon a day, go to 1 teaspoon a day in week 2, and build up to a maximum of 1 tablespoon a day.

What are the basics of drinking ozonated glycerin?

  • Food-grade glycerin is edible and tastes sweet. Ozonated glycerin is stirred into a glass of water, or cooled tea or coffee, and drunk.
  • Work up slowly. Week 1 is 1/2 teaspoon a day, week 2 is 1 teaspoon a day, and after that up to 1 tablespoon a day.
  • Too much at once can loosen stools. If that happens, take less.
  • MediSkill's Ozone Protocol Guide pairs glycerin by mouth, daily, with rectal insufflation in its simple routine (see the rectal protocol).
  • The amounts assume glycerin at about 10,000 ppm (parts per million, a strength label on the bottle). Dr. Robert Rowen reports taking 1 teaspoon every day.

How much ozonated glycerin should you drink?

WeekAmount per dayHow to take it
Week 11/2 teaspoonStirred into a glass of water
Week 21 teaspoonStirred into a glass of water
Week 3 and afterUp to 1 tablespoonStirred into a glass of water

Take it daily. If you feel any stomach upset or loose stools at a step, stay at the earlier amount or take less.

What are the best tips when using drinking ozonated glycerin?

  • Stir it into a full glass of water. Cooled tea or coffee works too.
  • Build up on the schedule above rather than starting at the top amount.
  • Store the bottle of undiluted ozonated glycerin away from heat and light. If you will not finish it within a few weeks, keep it in the fridge. Mixed batches keep in the fridge for up to 24 hours.

Is drinking ozonated glycerin safe? Side effects and precautions

  • Too much at once can loosen stools. Take less.
  • Take it by mouth only as described here. Do not use it in place of care for a health problem.
  • Never breathe ozone gas.
  • Do not use ozonated glycerin during pregnancy. Check with your healthcare provider before starting, especially if you have a heart or bleeding condition or take blood thinners.

What to look for in a product: made with pure oxygen (not room air or a concentrator), lab-grade glycerin, a stated and tested concentration, and made fresh. The amounts on this sheet assume glycerin at about 10,000 ppm.

Equipment

  • A measuring spoon (1/2 teaspoon, 1 teaspoon, 1 tablespoon) or a measuring dropper, and a glass of water.

What the studies used

Study doses are listed as printed in each paper. They are not the amounts on this sheet.

  • Studies of swallowed ozone products used ozonated oils in capsules, not glycerin. In 40 obese adults on a one-month diet, 2 ozonated olive oil capsules each morning on an empty stomach gave a larger drop in waist circumference than diet alone (4.3% vs 2.7%). Body weight and most markers did not differ between groups (Aslan 2026, Sağlık Akademisyenleri Dergisi).
  • In a case series of 48 adults with Helicobacter pylori, 1 capsule of ozonized sunflower oil three times a day for 30 days was followed by two negative tests in 39 (81%). There was no comparison group, and no side effects were reported (Serrano 2016, Rev Esp Ozonoterapia).

Only 3 human studies of ozonated glycerin exist (one skin trial and two single-patient dental reports), and none was nebulized, swallowed, nasal or a mouthwash, so the studies below are on ozonated oils unless noted. No study has tested drinking ozonated glycerin.
